Andrea Solomun
Andrea Solomun is a professional ballerina, choreographer and a dance pedagogue. She graduated from the School of Classical Ballet in Zagreb (Ilirski trg) and perfected her knowledge at the Alvin Ailey dance academy in New York, as well as attended a series of professional trainings in the area of dance, voice, singing, speech and acting in the USA and around Europe led by renowned world-famous artists.
She is the owner of the Andrea’s Room dance studio and the creator of &Ballet. Together with Ema Janković, she founded the dance group Dance Company &M.
Besides her reputation in working on the body biomechanics with a goal of achieving a fully healthy body and mind through movement, as well as practicing ballet with amateurs, she has been involved in fitness, yoga, pilates, mobility and animal flow, and running for many years now – all available to the substantial amount of her social media followers (@andreasolomun). She is the ambassador for Adidas, and generally speaking, a healthy lifestyle coach. Through her influence, both in person and via social media, through which she draws attention to the healthy lifestyle, Andrea got many people interested in classical ballet and turned it into a part of fitness community. Thereby, ballet became a form of everyday fitness training through which women and men of all age groups and physical predispositions build an optimal, healthy and beautiful body.
Besides her choreography and direction successes, she is known for her performances Prison of Decision, Oh Sweet Something, Room no. 7 and Room no. 13 in cooperation with &M and Judita Franković.
She works as a choreographer and actress for commercial TV performances, concerts and promotional events, as well as a movement assistant for performers (actors, singers etc.).
