They have professional licences and education, and are appropriately trained by Andrea Solomun for teaching and practicing &Ballet.
Iva Čevizović
Iva Čevizović is a professional dance and dance pedagogue from Croatia. She started her contemporary dance education at the School for Contemporary Dance Ana Maletić in Zagreb, and continued her education in different workshops. Most of them dealt with contemporary and modern dance techniques, and were led by different pedagogues and choreographers such as Laura Aris, Tokyo, Thomas Steyaert, Jorge Vazquez, Milan Tomašik, Peter Juhasz, Seppe Baeyens, Francesco Scavetta, Aleksandra Mišić, Ognjen Vučinić, Selma Banić, Igor Barberić, Larisa Navojec, Martina Nevistić, Maša Kolar, Bruno Isaković, Dina Ekštajn, Sanja Tropp Frȕhwald and many others. She worked on many dance performances: Skok u prazno (Aleksandra Mišić), E=mc² (Zrinka Lukčec Kiko), La Femme (Sain Louis Rhino), the opening ceremony of the Dance and Non-verbal Theatre Festival San Vincenti (Bo Madvig), Writing Poems (Mario Vrbanec and Vesna Grandeš), Thinker’s Clock (Mario Vrbanec), Room no. 7 and Room no. 13 (Andrea Solomun Frković, Ema Janković and Judita Franković), and in musicals: Uskrsli (directed by Marko Cindrić and Robert Bošković, choreographed by Andrea Solomun) and Legenda Ružice grada (directed by Robert Bošković, choreographed by Andrea Solomun).
She worked as a dance pedagogue at the Masa Dance Company (Aleksandra Mišić and Ognjen Vučinić), at KNAP, Zagreb Dance Centre and Escape Dance Centre.
She started working at Andrea’s Room Dance Centre in 2016 as a contemporary dance pedagogue, pilates and &Ballet instructor.
Dora Kokolj
Dora Kokolj was born in Zagreb in 1989. After having finished the School for Classical Ballet and X. grammar school in Zagreb, she enrolled and graduated in art history and pedagogy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. In 2011, she started attending the Skopje Dance Academy and cooperated with many foreign teachers and choreographers. While at the Academy, she performed for the accompanying company Skopje Dance Theatre, where she gained the experience of performance and cooperation with choreographers. She also started venturing into the dance pedagogy, teaching ballet and contemporary dance to all age groups. After having completed the Academy, she moved back to Zagreb where she continued her professional career in performance arts through her cooperation with Shadow Casters (Bacači sjenki), dance group Liberdance, ekscena, Zagreb Dance Centre, Dance Company &M and through her own work. In Zagreb, she continued her pedagogy work in a couple of studios where she teaches classical ballet, &ballet, modern and contemporary dance and movement stimulations (at the SUVAG Polyclinic) for children and adults of all age groups and experience. She is one of the founders of the de.not art collective (https://www.facebook.com/de.not.art/) – a young collective gathered around the wish to create in the area of contemporary dance and theatre. Her authorship within de.not includes choreography, performance and production of projects Burza grešaka (2016), |de.finity| (2017) and Fake a Mistake (2018).
Ema Janković
Ema Jankovic is a professional dancer, educator and choreographer from Croatia. She graduated from the Trinity Laban Dance Conservatory in London at the BA (Hons) Dance Theater, during which she worked with Nederlands Dans Theater II (NDT II) in the Netherlands and at the Joss Arnott Dance Company in England. After her studies, she participated in various projects such as ‘La Femme’ of Saint Louis Rhino in Croatia and ‘Glasshouses’ with Lewis Major Dance Company in London. She was part of the Jasmine Vardimon 2 (JV2) Trainee Company, as well as conducting international workshops and auditions across England. She danced with the Jasmine Vardimon Dance Company at the play “Tomorrow” at Sadler’s Wells, London. Ema is currently a dancer in the Balkan Dance Project, choreographed by Igor Kirov, Aleksandar Sasa Ilic, Natalia Iwaniec and Ivana Hadzihasanovic. Studied at various workshops, auditions and classes: Rambert Dance Company, Random Dance Company, Matthew Bourne Dance Company, Hofesh Shechter Dance Company, Tavaziva, Rosie Kay Dance Company, Maurice Causey, Conny Janssen Danst, Aakash Odedra, etc. She co-founded, with her colleague Andrea Solomun, dance company “Dance Company & M” in Croatia. Three more copyrighted performances of “Oh Sweet Something” 2015 followed. with original music by renowned jazz musicians, and in 2017. “Room N ° 7” and 2018 “Room N ° 13” in collaboration with Judita Frankovic. During 2018, she was hired to work as a dancer for the Opera unter den linden in Berlin at the opera “Hippolyte et Aricie” by choreographer Alette Collins.
